Is the city mini GT2 worth it? ›

The Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 is a robust, yet versatile stroller that can hold even our tall 6-year-old grandson. It was just light enough at 20 lbs that we matched up against strollers in the “umbrella” category, but easily competes as a “full” stroller as well.

No, the Baby Jogger City Mini series, including the City Mini 2, City Mini GT, and City Mini GT2 single and double strollers, are not designed for jogging or running.

city mini® GT2

Yes! The city mini GT2 is approved for newborns when the seat is fully reclined with no extra accessories required. However there is the option bassinet or baby car capsule for newborn (city go capsule adapters included!)

Since the GT2 lies nearly flat, you can use it with your baby as long as they have head/neck control. For extra comfort (and if you want to face your newborn), you can buy a pram (sold separately).

You can use it anywhere

In 1999, the 993 was replaced with the new 996 model. The new GT2 took two years to develop and during that time, Porsche decided to abandon the GT2 for motorsports use, instead concentrating on competing in GT3 class racing with the new naturally aspirated 911 GT3.
